The CAG Strategic Transportation Safety Plan (STSP) is a regional transportation safety plan that utilizes the results of crash data analysis and stakeholder/public input to identify proven strategies, actions, programs, and projects to reduce the prevalence of transportation-related fatalities and serious injuries. Fatalities and serious injuries have fluctuated in the Region since 2005, however most of these incidents are predictable and preventable.
The STSP was developed in coordination with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), local governments, tribal representatives, and other transportation and safety stakeholders. The STSP provides the Region with a framework for reducing transportation-related fatalities and serious injury crashes and the personal and economic costs of crashes and enhancing livability and public health.
