The City of Apache Junction (Grantee) has been awarded a federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) through the Arizona Department of Housing for the Street Improvements project. The Town will accept bids from qualified firms registered with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors to perform the following services:
CDBG funds will be used for construction services including installation of custom playground equipment to include three climbing structures, swings and playground equipment suitable for ages 2-12. Engineered wood fiber fall protection as well as custom shade structure(s) that covers approximately 6,400 square feet at Superstition Shadows Park playground and custom shade structure(s) that covers approximately 2,400 square feet at the Superstition Shadows Park Aquatic Center (see project specifications in Appendix A of the Invitation to Bid for detailed information), and associated miscellaneous construction work, all part of the Superstition Shadows Park Improvements project.

All bids must be on a unit-price basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted. Bids must be sealed, labeled “Superstition Shadows Park Improvements”, and delivered to the City of Apache Junction; ATTN: Yvette McKinney, 300 E Superstition Blvd, Apache Junction, AZ 85119, no later than 2: 00 p.m. on May 12, 2025. Faxes are not acceptable. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Minority, woman-owned and disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to submit. Grantee may waive informalities in the bids, may negotiate with any and all bidders, and may reject all bids if it is deemed in the best interest of Grantee.
