Public Hearing Notice

Town of Queen Creek DRAFT CAG 208 Water Quality Managment Plan Amendment

A public hearing will be conducted on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Town of Queen Creek Community Chambers located at 20727 E. Civic Parkway, Queen Creek, AZ 85142 to discuss and comment on the Town of Queen Creek's DRAFT 208 Plan Amendment to the CAG section 208 Water Quality Management Plan. The hearing will address the expansion of the Town's current Designated Mangament Agency (DMA) boundary within Pinal County by approximately 9.7 square miles. A DMA boundary isrecognized by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and the United States Environmental Protetion Agency (EPA) through Section 208 of the Federal Pollution Control Act (Clean Wate Act). The designation of a DMA provides the Town the rights to effectively plan for wastewater services and obligates the Ton to provide for the maintenance and protection of ambient water quality in the proposed area.

Written comments may be submitted to CAG No later than 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. A summary of the public comments received will be submitted as part of the Amendment Package to ADEQ for further consideration. Written and verbal comments are welcome at the Public Hearing. Hard copies of the Town of Queen Creek's DRAFT 208 Plan Amendment to the CAG Section 208 Water Quality Managment Plan will also be available for public review, starting Thursday September 27, 2018, at the CAG offices located at 2540 West Apache Trail, Suite 108, Apache Junction, AZ 85120, and at the Queen Creek Library located at 22358 South Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.

DRAFT CAG/Sun Corridor MPO Human Services Transportation Coordination Plan 2019 UPDATE

The Central Arizona Governments (CAG) is seeking public comments on the Final DRAFT of the CAG & Sun Corridor MPO Human Services Transportation Coordination Plan 2019 UPDATE and can be downloaded above.  Federal Transit Law requires that projects selected for funding under the Elderly Individuals and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) programs be derived from a locally developed coordinated transit human services transportation plan.  The purpose of this type of plan is to identify the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, older adults, and people with low incomes, provide strategies from meeting these needs and prioritize transportation services for funding and implementation.  Comments on the DRAFT will be accepted thru December 14, 2018.  Please send your comments by phone, mail, or email to:
