FY 2016 Information Services Accomplishments

  • Information Services has actively been involved with the preparation of population estimates for the region.  CAG Staff has gathered information pertaining to regional residential completions on all housing units from each community, which is in turn used for the development of the CAG Region’s population estimates.
  • CAG was actively involved in the preparation and review of population and employment projections through 2050 for the CAG member agencies within Pinal County for adoption by the State Demographer’s Office.
  • CAG has shared demographic data with Pinal County in an effort to supply information to businesses that are interested in expanding into Pinal County’s cities and towns.
  • CAG has offered a number of “specialized” mapping services to many of our governmental members throughout the year.
  • CAG provided boundary research and annexation assistance to our member agencies, and also provided modeling research and ongoing data requests throughout the year.
  • During FY 2016, CAG has provided GIS data to developers, consultants, realtors, public agencies, public educational institutions and state agencies.
  • CAG Staff has assisted with providing mapping data for ongoing plans and studies.
  • During FY 2016, CAG Staff has utilized tablet-based technologies to conduct field survey work for GIS and data purposes.
  • CAG Staff conducted field survey work for the Winkelman Community Development Strategy.
  • Developed data and specialized maps for inclusion in the CAG Comprehensive Economic Development Study report submitted to the Economic Development Administration.
  • Developed data and specialized maps for the Town of Kearny General Plan.
  • CAG assisted member communities with verification of street names for future mapping and planning purposes.
  • CAG assisted member communities by providing parcel based assessor address information for use in Community Development Block Grant projects.
